At Engineering Solutions we have always taken pride in our role in the construction of literally hundreds of school projects. From the $28,000,000 Douglas High School in Oklahoma City to the $200,000 expansion of Sasakwa Schools, every project is critically important to the students and citizens of the local community.
Recently, emphasis has been placed on the construction of storm shelters within school buildings. To achieve this goal, the walls and ceilings of certain classroom or corridors are “hardened’ with either concrete or filled masonry walls. Ceilings consisting of 6 inches of reinforced concrete are also designed. Our office has designed dozens of these structures and understands potential coordination problems associated with their construction.
